What’s this about?

This blog was created to focus the development of a new visual headset product for all applications benefitting from a wide FOV, high quality image in a low-cost, ergonomic form for optimally displaying 16:9 content generated by another device including PC, mobile phone,  gaming consoles, medical imaging system, drone controller and others.

Why? Most of today’s popular headsets are made for stand-alone VR, with all sorts of features and components unnecessary for the uncompromised display of 16:9 content, leading to low quality imaging and slow response times that are a barrier to wide spread adoption. For example, there are two billion active PC gamers out there but perhaps only 20 million VR users, and that includes those that bought a headset to try and ended up putting it in the closet.

If we could define a more optimum headset just for these 16:9 applications, what would that look like? That’s what this is all about.
